This paper presents the design of rotatable metasurface microstrip antennas with reconfigurable polarization. The structure consists of a circular metasurface placed on a circular microstrip antenna, both with diameters of 78 mm, to simplify the metasurface rotation enabling the reconfiguration from linear to circular polarization. A mechanically rotatable metasurface antenna structure is fabricated using a 3D printer and a very precise step motor, remotely controlled. The proposed antenna is designed to operate at 3.0 ~ 3.2 GHz, using Ansoft HFSS. A prototype of the proposed antenna geometry is fabricated and measured for comparison purpose. The antenna performance in terms of return loss and axial ratio is presented.
