Recently, as terrestrial laser scanning system improved, it became possible to acquire point cloud quickly and accurately, and 3D modeling research utilizing the data was actively conducted. The terrestrial laser scanner system is widely used in As-Built BIM in order to acquire building information models for constructed building. In this study, a 3D model of complex indoor space with several rooms is automatically created from point cloud data acquired from terrestrial laser scanning system. The process uses complex point cloud in order to extract points which constitute the rooms. Segmentation process which identifies each room, and noise removal process is then conducted to result in refined point cloud. 3D model extraction procedure distinguishes windows and wall from the refined point cloud to provide CAD format file which can be used as base structure for As-Built BIM model. This study overcomes the previous indoor 3D modeling process in terms of efficiency, since it can automatically handle point cloud containing several rooms and does not require manual noise removal from point cloud.
