Mechanical and magnetic interference shielding properties of Al/steel/Al laminated composite

摘要

Al/steel/Al architecture composites have been fabricated by a cold roll-bonding process to evaluate their mechanical properties and magnetic interference shielding effectiveness (SE). In the cold roll bonding process, two pieces of AA 1050 sheet and one piece of low carbon steel DC04 grid were stacked together and rolled with 60 pct reduction without any lubrication. The results show that the AI/steel/AI composite manufactured by this cold rolling process exhibit sound solid state joints and tensile properties that are significantly improved with respect to those of 1050 aluminum. In addition, a high shielding effectiveness has been attained in the laminated AI/steel/AI composite, well above that of pure aluminum in a large frequency range.
