This paper focuses on the evaluation of a fully decentralized power control aimed to provide an additional source of flexibility to distribution system operators in order to manage low voltage distribution grids. In particular, the proposed approach provides short term power reserve, current and losses reduction, managing residential power demand by regulating the supplying voltages locally, close to the users. The effectiveness of the approach is evaluated in a residential low voltage grid setting the secondary distribution tap equal to 1 p.u. and 1.05 p.u. of the rated value. The results are carried out using a Monte Carlo simulation approach and in order to provide insights to prove the strength of the proposed approach.
