Burning biomass briquette produces less PM, SO_2 and NOx, and achieves zero CO_2 emission, which is very significant to energy conservation and environmental protection. This paper describes the combustion characteristics and pollutants emissions characteristics of biomass briquette, relevant laws and policies; analyzes the current situation of biomass briquette materials, status quo of furnace development and the development prospects, analyzes the major problems of biomass briquette development and puts forward relevant proposals.
