The aims of this prospective longitudinal field study were to (1) describe the pattern of PEDV shedding and comparative sensitiv-ity of alternative sampling methods in growing pigs as revealed by RT-PCR testing ot individual pig fecal swabs, pen fecalsamples, and pen otal fluids (OF); (2) describe the kinetics of PEDV an-tibody by ELIS A (IgA, IgG) testing of individual pig serum and pen OF samples; and (3) establish cutoffs and performance estimates for PEDV "whole virus" IgA and IgG ELISAs (WV IgA or IgGELISA).
