摘要

The cylinder length is seldom considered in present research on the separation performance and production capacity of a hydrocyclone. In order to study the effect of cylinder length variation on the separation performance, a series of experiments have been carried out. It is found that with the increase of the cylinder length, both the classification efficiency and the production capacity of the hydrocyclone are significantly improved. Moreover, according to the experimental data, a new production capacity formula considering the cylinder length is put forward, which can enrich the rotational flow separation theory further.
