An introduction to the DUB framework in information system development: a data centric approach

Data centric thinking had prevailed for decades but was challenged by object-oriented thinking and NoSQL movement. While Big Data and Data Science are becoming popular, more attentions are attracted back onto data. A DUB (DBAssistant, UIValidation, and BriefCase) Framework is designed and implemented to try to eliminate the need of relational-object switching throughout the whole business process from user end to database server. The DUB Framework is designed to keep the data-centric thinking in information system design and development. The static structure of the framework is illustrated and some technical details are discussed.
