In the foundry industry, the main solid waste is the foundry waste sand, casting cupola dust and slag, which causes environmental pollution and becomes a bottleneck restricting the development of the foundry industry. The main components of the foundry waste sand and slag generated by casting are siliceous and calcareous granular materials, which meet the needs of engineering construction materials, they have a broad application prospect. In this paper, the investigation and analysis of the foundry waste sand and slag have been carried on about the research and application in the engineering construction, which provide reference and basis for the application of foundry waste sand and slag in the engineering.
