摘要

Modern radiotherapy depends largely on accurate dose delivery to the given target volume. Before going into clinical use, the calibration of the photon and electron beams produced by radiotherapy machine has to be done. The overall accuracy in tumor dose delivery should be below 3 percent. But on an evaluation of errors in dose delivery in a clinical setting, to achieve this accuracy is not an easy task. The idea of this system basically deals with an automatic switching of radiation energies, amplification and dose calibration. As the system is so crucial there is a need to add the concept of the amplification by Programmable Gain Amplifiers (PGA) through Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) control.
