摘要

We adopt Copula function, which is good at dealing with non-linear correlation of economic time series and also can describe the varying correlation of them, to make an analysis on the correlation between energy consumption and economic growth. We get the conclusion that the static and dynamic correlation coefficients are both positive and very high, which means energy consumption and economic growth in China are strongly linked together and interact each other deeply. Sustainable economic growth cannot be achieved without the right energy policy which guides us how to use energy properly.
