With the introduction of Ti into the zeolite framework, the discovery of Ti-MWW zeolite became a milestone in both titanosilicate catalysts and heterogeneous catalysis research field because Ti-MWW zeolite was an active, highly selective and environmentally benign catalysts for a number of important industrially organic reactions, like the liquid-phase oxidation using H2O2 aq. as the oxidant. However, the catalytic property of Ti-MWW zeolite depended not only on the Ti content but also on the distribution of Ti atom. Owing to the widely implying in catalyzing the epoxidation of alkene, one method using the catalytic properties to evaluate the Ti distribution was established and used into describing the location of Ti atom in Ti-MWW zeolite. Furthermore, the influence of the preparation method for Ti-MWW on the Ti distribution was also clarified based on the catalytic properties.
