Construction of cold-start process for H2 production from hydrocarbons or ammonia

Construction of cold-start process for H2 production reaction is important issue, because startup and shutdown are frequently repeated for domestic fuel cell and engine which use H2 fuel for power generation. Here oxidative reforming (OR) of hydrocarbons for H2 production (eq. 1) is more suitable approach than conventional steam reforming for such applications, because the OR is an exothermic reaction.
