High entropy alloys (HEAs) are a new class of advanced multicomponent alloys developed using the novelalloy design philosophy of mixing five or more elements in equiatomic or near equiatomic proportions [1].It is envisaged that multiphase HEAs having a mixture of soft and hard phases can achieve good balance ofstrength and ductility desired in many engineering applications. In order to meet these objectives, design ofa non-equiatomic eutectic AlCoCrFeNi2.1 HEA with lamellar microstructure and high strength was firstproposed by Lu et al [2]. The present investigation focuses on the detailed microstructure and mechanicalproperties of a two phase near equiatomic AlCoCrFeNi2.1 high entropy alloy in its cast, cold-rolled andsubsequent annealed conditions.
