This paper discusses the possibility of the utilization of steel slag powder and rice husk ash in building mortar. Experimental results show that the compressive strength of composite cementitious material (Composite binder) cubes reaches the using standard of building mortar after suitable mix designs, with composite cementitious material's water absorption, frost resistance, drying shrinkage, and sulfate resistance, compared with pure cement, being improved.
