摘要

Intervertebral disk (IVD) is an important structure to maintain spine in thefunction of bearing load and motion. Degenerative disease and protrusion of IVDhave close relationship with its mechanics state, so it is necessary to study themechanical behavior of IVD which will provide a good guide for preventing andtreating relevant diseases. This paper first analyzed the strain distribution indifferent areas of the IVD under bending load using digital image correlationtechnology and obtained the mechanics characteristics of lumbar disk when bodybends down. The experimental results show that the maximum strain appears inthe ventral area of the IVD in the process of bending, and the strain of the outerannulus fibrosus in the IVD is twice as high as inner.
