摘要

Cell-penetrating peptides are considered a minimally cytotoxic transport system, with great potential to transport drugs. The Phage Display technique has been performed in vivo and in vitro in order to identity specific peptide ligants, in different cell types. This study is aimed at finding peptides which are able to internalize into human glioblastoma cell lines. Glioblastoma is the most aggressive and diffusely infiltrative primary brain tumor, originating from transformed astrocytes. Recurrence is widely frequent, being extremely difficult to tackle from a therapeutical point of view. Since the peptides are aimed to be used for drug delivery, a previous clearance step was introduced in order to eliminate peptides which are able to internalize into non-tumoral (normal) cells.
