Local scouring at the downstream of the river bed protection can cause the dangerous problem on the hydraulic structures. And the most important factor on the local scouring was known as the bed shear stress on the river bed. In this study, longitudinal distributions of bed shear stress in the stabilized scoured hole were analyzed with temporal change of bed profiles and maximum scour depth at each time step. It was revealed that the values of bed shear stress were decreased rapidly from the longitudinal transition to the location of the maximum scour depth and this decrease caused stabilization of the local scouring.
