Doppler sensor is a devise that is applied to non-contact vital sensing. Although the noncontact vital sensing using Doppler sensors is mainly to estimate heartbeats and respiration, this paper expands its possibility to precisely estimate the angle of arrival (AoA) simultaneously. Multiple signal classification (MUSIC) is a well-known method for the precise AoA estimation so-called a superresolution method. The application of MUSIC assumes that the receiver of the Doppler sensor is equipped with multiple antennas forming an array antenna. However, the AoA estimation by MUSIC is restricted by the number of the antennas. This paper proposes to apply a parameter estimation method termed as ARS as a preprocessing which liberates MUSIC from the restriction. The performance is verified through computer simulations.
