3D printing, as the most common method in additive manufacturing, is showinggreat promises as an advanced manufacturing technique for a growing range of applications,including soft robots, ceramics, metal structure, nano-devices, and tissues. Metal structuresby 3D printing is more and more popular and play an overwhelming role in many industries (e.g.,aerospace, medical, and automotive). However, nanoporous metal materials exhibit numerousadvantages over dense materials due to their high specific stiffness, strength, damping, energyabsorption, and surface areas. It has the potential uses for energy storage, emissions control,catalyst supports, and structural applications.
