The construction of structure-property (S-P) linkages between the microstructure and itsmacroscale property is an important task in the development of structural materials. Conventional approachesrely largely on expensive numerical simulations such as the finite element method. In addition, most of themcannot be applicable for an inverse problem. Recently, 2-point spatial correlations and principal componentanalysis are introduced to establish the low-cost reduced order structure-property model for polycrystallinemicrostructures. However, when building a reduced order model, it is not considered which feature is relevant tothe property. In this study, we applied a model selection method to choose the best subset of features and interpretthem by a reconstruction technique.
