The third‐order nonlinear optical properties of a charge‐transfer organic compound ethyl 2‐[(2E)‐2‐(4‐hydroxy‐3‐methoxybenzylidene) hydrazino]‐5‐nitrobenzoate were investigated by employing Degenerate Four Wave Mixing (DFWM) and Optical Kerr Gate (OKG) techniques. The study enables to compare the χ~((3)) values obtained on different time scales of the laser pulses and to understand the origin of nonlinear response of the samples.
