Application of DEA in Analyzing the RD Efficiency of China's Manufacturing Industry

摘要

Using methods of data envelopment analysis (DEA) and factor analysis (FA), this paper compared and measured the input-output efficiencies, as well as scientific and technological competitiveness in 28 industries of Chinese manufacturing industry from 2006 to 2007. The results indicate that not only the gross of 28 industries are different, but their efficiencies of R&D activities are also different, and all industries have lower outputs in general.
