Tensile properties of fully dense nanocrystalline Ni_3Al intermetallic alloy obtained by severe cold rolling at liquid nitrogen temperature (LNT) and subsequent annealing were studied. It has been found that ultrahigh yield stress (2.7GPa) and ultimate tensile strength (2.9GPa) as well as enhanced elongation to fracture (3.1 percent) are observed for Ni_3Al intermetallic in a nanocrystalline state.
