NEW IMAGE QUALITY MEASURE BASED ON WAVELET TRANSFORM

摘要

Evaluating the quality of modified images is important in several image-processing areas, particularly in image and video compression. We propose a novel metric for evaluating image quality using wavelet decomposition that allows a number of wavelet manipulating functions to be employed and hence higher accuracy in measuring image quality can be achieved.
