Enterprises need to initiate innovation activities and open use of external knowledge resources in the process of new product development. In this paper, Amos structure equation model, Hierarchical regression and other mathematical / computer related models are used to conduct interdisciplinary research on the related issues of enterprise technological innovation. This paper aims to explore how the experience of new activity failure affects innovation performance and the role of two key dimensions of open innovation (external search scope and formal innovation collaboration scope). Through the establishment of structural equation model, using the survey data from Yangtze River Delta enterprises, this paper finds that the experience of innovation failure affects innovation performance through five mediating variables: innovation organization, innovation direction, innovation motivation, innovation knowledge accumulation, market and customer demand cognition. This process is positively regulated by the scope of external knowledge search, while the formal innovation collaboration breadth In this process, the regulation effect is not significant. Finally, some suggestions are put forward.
