Electromagnetic topology(EMT) method is an effective approach derived from electromagnetic(EM) field and topology theory to analyze electromagnetic compatibility(EMC) in complex systems. The main idea is: the complex system is decomposed into a series of relatively simple and independent subsystems through the system decomposition, and the coupling relationship between each subsystem is established through the energy transfer function, and the total electromagnetic response of the system is obtained through the solution of the subsystem and the energy transfer function. Thus, this paper applies the EMT-based method to analyze the performance of EMC in a typical active phased array antenna. The proposed method provides an effective analytic approach to deal with the complicated system.
