The Research on Output Circuit for S-Band Multi-Beam Klystron

Based on the microwave equivalent circuit theory, the impedance-frequency characteristic of the S-band multibeam klystron output cavity is studied, and two methods of expanding the bandwidth of output circuit are introduced, including the filter technology and overlap modes technology. At the peak power of 120kW, the bandwidth for S-band multi-beam klystron has reached 500MHz. (relative bandwidth is more than 15%).
