Development of the JK Bond Ball Lite Test (JK BBL)

A new test methodology for the determination of Bond Ball Mill Work Index (bbmwi) has been developed at the University of Queensland's Sustainable Minerals Institute (smi) from work undertaken at the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre (jkmrc). The new test, called JK Bond Ball Lite (JK BBL), is a locked cycle grindability test, conducted using a standard laboratory Bond ball mill. Validation work on the test has been undertaken using 1,364 individual full Bond tests conducted over the course of seven years (representing >$1M worth of testing).
