Optimization of multi-criteria issues is an incredible need of makers to deliver exactness parts with low expenses. Optimization of multi-execution attributes is increasingly intricate contrasted with advancement of single-execution qualities. The theory of grey system is a technique for performing prediction, relational analysis, and decision making in many areas. In this paper deals with an innovative method to improve the efficiency by reducing the fuel consumption and improving the combustion using magnesium oxide (MgO) and jamun seeds oil. The investigation shows that Taguchi method together with grey relational analysis were effectively used to evaluate multiple performance and emission characteristics of a diesel engine and also it was predicted from the experimental data, that the engine performance and emission levels are closer to diesel. The Jamun seed oil would be one of the safe alternate fuels in future. Based on the ANOVA results, the parameter of Nano catalyst MgO composition shows 62 % followed by J S blend 20%, BP 16%. MgO composition shows the major contribution of engine performance and JS oil blend shows the second most significant affecting parameter.
