Opened in 2017, the new Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) is one of the most important cultural projects recently realized in Europe. It is a vast and ambitious development that propels Greece into the 21st Century and upgrades its current infrastructure for sharing knowledge, culture and presenting the performing arts. Its success is in many ways a symbol of the revitalization of the country after its period of crisis, playing a major role in the economic, cultural and sociological development of Athens and of the country.
