This experiment research aims to determine the influence of the giving of the reward of the pin star achievement towards: (1) the increasing of the student's learning motivation and (2) the discipline character of the second-grade students Muhamadiyah Sapen Elementary School of Yogyakarta. This research is a quasi-experiment with the pretest-posttest control group design. The data analysis technique used was the Mann-Whitney Nonparametric Statistic Test. This experiment research shows the results as follows. (1) The giving of the pin star reward influences significantly towards the increase of the student's learning motivation. The result of the Mann-Whitney test on the learning motivation posttest score between the control group and experiment group shows the existence of difference score significantly with the Mann-Whitney test value as high as 169 and the significance value as big as 0.000. (2) The giving of the pin star achievement reward influences significantly towards the fostering of the student's discipline character between the control group and the experiment group. The result of the Mann-Whitney test on the posttest score of the learning discipline between the control group and the experiment group shows the existence of the difference score significantly with the Mann-Whitney test value as high as 213 and the significance value as big as 0.000. From the data can be concluded that the giving of the pin star achievement reward influences positively and significantly towards the increase of the student's learning motivation and discipline character of the second-grade students of Muhammadiyah Sapen Elementary School Yogyakarta.
