摘要

The objective of this paper is to analyse gear body deflections in dynamic conditions. To this end, an original hybrid gear model is introduced, which combines lumped parameter elements, finite elements and condensed sub-structures along with a mortar-based mesh interface. Gear bodies are simulated by 20-node 3D brick finite elements, making it possible to account for various geometries flexible enough to exhibit body modes in the operating range. Dynamic analyses are performed which illustrate that such gears behave as disks and display modes that can be characterized by their number of nodal diameters and circles. It is shown that the frequency analysis of one web or rim node signal is sufficient to have access to the mode characteristics. It is also highlighted that the study of the web behaviour is necessary as these modes have a non-negligible influence on mesh dynamic loads.
