Street-legal Porsche 911 GT cars are the link to the Porsche GT racing cars. Since these vehicles are driven to an above-average extent on racing circuits there is a demand for consistent lightweight construction in order to keep improving the performance of the vehicles. For this reason there is a constant search for new, innovative weight-reducing measures that can be implemented in previously neglected components using newly developed techniques and materials.
