Veterinary radiation oncology has come a long way in the last 30 years. From the original Cobalt60 megavoltage irradiation to the state of the art image guided/intensity modulated irradiation with modem linear accelerator, the technology jump has been enormous especially in the last 7-8 years. This presentation is designed to update the nomenclature resulting from the new technology and talk about the advantages but also limitations/ challenges of the new technology.
