Be the Hero with Seizures and Status Epilepticus Management

Status epilepticus (SE) is defined with great variance from seizures that repeat with no conscious recovery in between, to clusters of two or more seizures in a period of a few hours with incomplete recovery; however, most consider status epilepticusa generalized seizure lasting over 5 minutes. In the human literature, seizures lasting over 30 minutes are stated to leave extensive damage to the brain that can leave permanent damage and lead to death, thus punctuating the need for early interventionin SE.
