NPRE-470 FUEL CELLS AND HYDROGEN SOURCES

摘要

An undergraduate course to educate about fuel cells and hydrogen sources is registered as a regular course; NPRE-470 and has been taught since 2010 at Nuclear, Plasma & Radiological Engineering Department of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The course is mainly composed with 3 parts; Hydrogen Sources, Fuel Cell and a student's term project to design fuel cell system for designated application. "Hydrogen Sources" as a part of the course has dealt with social meaning of hydrogen economy to aim efficient or cleaner use of various sources of energy including nuclear power, the way how to generate hydrogen as an energy charged carrier, various method of hydrogen transportation and the other hydrogen applications including metal hydride thermal energy conversion systems.
