摘要

In this paper, performance of underwater acoustic (UWA) OFDM system is studied for long-range shallow water environment. In order to achieve robust communication link, frequency and time diversity techniques are adopted to the developed UWA OFDM system, wherein same data is transmitted through different time or frequency resources thereby enjoying diversity from channel selectivity. The performance of the UWA OFDM systems is analyzed based on real experiments conducted at western and southern sea of Korea. It is shown by measured data that the frequency diversity is more effective to improve system performance than the time diversity especially for the channel exhibiting the severe frequency selectivity.
