In this study, focuses on the nexus of energy consumption and virus reduction of the three water reclamation processes using UF membrane. In virus removal test, the coagulation under pH control followed by UF filtration process and UF filtration without coagulation followed by UV irradiation process showed more than 5.2-log removal/inactivation of MS2. In nexus of virus removal and energy consumption, UF filtration followed by UV irradiation process can remove virus most effectively in terms of energy consumption. Because coagulant dosage can be reduced, which is resulted in the reduction of energy consumption of "Chemicals" and "Disposal" portions for coagulants. UF + UV process can be considered to be the most effective processes in this study, but more comprehensive evaluation will be necessary in application of these technologies to secondary effluent of other STPs.
