In Malaysia, construction industry is the most important sector for the economic growth. The rapid development of construction projects has generated huge amount of construction wastes. This becomes the concern to many parties that involved in the construction industry. One of the alternative in reducing the waste produced by conventional method of construction is the use of Industrialised Building System (IBS). The objectives of this study are to compare the construction waste produced by conventional method against IBS method, and determine the hierarchy of wastes produced at sites. The objective of this study has been achieved through physical layout measurement and questionnaire survey. The findings from this study indicated that IBS produced less waste than conventional method, and steel waste is more than timber waste.
