Magnetoelectric composites were prepared by conventional ceramic technology. It was found that structural modulation in the perovskite phase appears at higher sintering temperatures (1220 °C) and in the spinel phase at lower ones (1180 °C). It is suggested that the observed structure modulation of the perovskite and spinel phases may be associated with a defect subsystem, in particular with crystallographic shear planes. It is shown that increasing of the sintering temperature of the composite from 1180 to 1220 °C leads to high dielectric permittivity (almost the entire temperature range) and tan δ (T> 300 °C).
