Evaluation of Injectable Vitamin and Mineral Supplementation During Dry Period, in Improvement of Health, Milk Production, and Composition inHolstein Cows

Metabolic changes during the transition period increase plasmatic oxidative substances, which interfere on immunological, productive and reproductive process in dairy cows (Agarwal et al., 2012). The liposoluble vitamins and mineral's extra supply isnecessary during the transition period (NRC, 2001). The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical effect after the administration of an injectable supplement containing vitamins (Vitamin A and Vitamin E) and minerals (Copper, Zinc, Manganese and Selenium) during the dry period on health and milk production in Holstein cows.
