In this paper, the effects of H_2 as additive in the CO/CH_4 laminar mixtures premixed flames on the flame propagation velocity was numerically investigated. The numerical simulations were conducted by using PREMIX code with the detailed chemical reaction mechanism (GRI-Mech. 3.0) of methane. The simulated results showed that the H radicals plays an important role for the oxidation process of CH_4 and CO mixtures, and the addition of H_2 increased the flame propagation velocity as the results of the increasing H radicals.
