The wind turbine technology has matured from inception to the present over the past 5 decades. With the advancement in technology and knowledge base Vestas ventured into developing after market solutions for existing wind turbines to improve the production and to make the age old turbines to perform better without compromising on the design life of the wind turbines. This paper provides potential estimation and Performance evaluation of power upgrades products across European wind farms. Based on the site wind climate, load margins of the existing wind turbines, available infrastructure, the applicable Vestas PowerPlus products are selected and applied based on state of art evaluation tools developed by Vestas. The performance of the products post implementation are validated using wind industry standard methods.
