A paper based simple, flexible, and perfect resonant electromagnetic wave absorber is proposed in this article. The absorber consists of the conducting grid patterns where unit cell of the pattern is a two-dimensional grid based structure and the bottom is a conducting ground plane. The grid based top conducting patterns are created by inkjet printing over a thin paper having conducting layer at the bottom. The proposed absorber undoubtedly attains a cost-effective and eco-friendly solution for designing a flexible electromagnetic absorber. The experimental and simulation results are found to be in excellent agreement. The proposed absorber exhibits perfect absorption of 99.99% at 10.84 GHz and possesses an overall thickness of 0.531 mm.
