摘要

The complexity due to the narrow space in a vessel or the complicatedoutfitting system of an offshore plant structure causes considerableambiguities in the installation work. In this paper, an algorithm todetermine the installation order for the geometric location of the pipingstructure is introduced. Final installation sequence is reconfigured usingvirtual reality technology and simulated to enhance the understanding ofthe whole installation process for workers. For 3D models, the JT formatis selected because of its popularity in shipbuilding industry andsimplicity in its structure.
