Cardiostimulator excitation signal generators in MATLAB and Simulink environment

摘要

Cardiostimulator treatment plays an important part in cardiovascular disease treatment. This is especially true in cases where medical treatment is not sufficient and the patient needs a heart transplant, however during the waiting period the heart must be supported by the said cardiostimulator. This article details our two developed MATLAB applications which can generate a suitable excitation signal for the testing of basic characteristics of implantable devices and the establishment of measurement labs for the mentioned purpose too.
