摘要

Self-localization methods are very important for stopping control of public transportation systems. The highly accurate localization method with low-cost is needed. The vision-based localization method is proposed in this paper, as a highly accurate and low-cost localization method. This paper estimates the possibility to apply the proposed method to stopping control of a public transportation system by computer simulation and by experiments of 1/10-scaled test vehicle. The 1/10-scaled vehicle experimentations show that the proposed method meets the 1/10-scaled stopping position accuracy requirement 0.1m.
