摘要

This study shows the effect of soil modeling in a electromagnetic analysis regarding a current injection in a buried cable, as a grounding element subject to electric transients. Two frequency-dependent soil models are chosen, along with a constant parameters model, showing divergent results in higher frequencies. Also, the numerical simulation regarding the cable subdivision are addressed, exposing the importance in calculations of ground potentials and electric fields nearby. The results concludes the importance of further knowledge of the soils properties at high frequencies.
