A New Algorithm for Generating the Material Order in ERP Systems

The paper presents a new algorithm for generating the material order to be used in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. The order models of ERP programs have been tested in the actual production conditions of metal industry enterprises. We pointed out the problem of incorrect generation of orders by various tested computer systems. The problem of generating the order was described using an exemplary mast produced in medium lot production conditions. In order to check the function of the suggested algorithm, simulation tests allowing for determination of the number of individual items needed to achieve the assumed production volume were carried out. The use of the suggested algorithm allowed us to order the correct number of commercial items and obtain the smallest post-production waste.
